Musicians Sussan Deyhim and DJ Spooky's "Azadi" featured in "New Era: The Middle East"

The word Azadi means "Freedom" in Farsi. The song "Azadi (The New Complexity)" is an interpretation of an ancient poem by the legendary poet Rumi, composed and performed by renowned Iranian artist Sussan Deyhim and Paul Miller DJ Spooky from New York City. The collaboration is a single on DJ Spooky's new album "The Secret Song".

The English translation of the poem and a performance of the song sung in Farsi are featured in Streaming Museum's "New Era: The Middle East" underscoring a collection of artworks by Tarek Al-Ghoussein (Dubai) and Pouran Jinchi (Iran) curated by The Third Line, Dubai and Doha.  thethirdline.com
