The Project Room for New Media @ CAM

New media, performing arts program at Chelsea Art Museum NYC, inspired Streaming Museum

The Project Room for New Media and Performing Arts at Chelsea Art Museum in New York City, continued as Streaming Museum.

The Project Room for New Media and Performing Arts was launched by Nina Colosi at Chelsea Art Museum (CAM) in 2003. In 2010 Colosi curated and produced a three-part exhibition and public program series, Digital Art @Google, that took place at Google headquarters in NYC in collaboration with The Project Room for New Media.

In 2010 The Project Room for New Media programming was incorporated into Streaming Museum which had launched on January 29, 2008.

Founded by Dorothea Keeser and artist Jean Miotte, for 10 years CAM presented many innovative and noted exhibitions… a grand art experiment that remains part of the history of the NYC art world. Former CAM curators have continued to break new ground in the international art scene: Manon Slome founded No Longer Empty and prior to CAM was a curator at the Guggenheim Museum; and Sam Bardaouil co-founded Art Reoriented with former CAM Director Till Fellrath.
