Split Film Festival / International Festival of New Film in Split, Croatia

Streaming Museum has participated in several Split Film Festivals. The festival participated in the global tour of Nordic Outbreak's Bjork in Times Square moving image work HERE
 

 
The Festival is the oldest (founded 1996) and in many ways the most important international annual film / media manifestation
 in Croatia. The festival takes place every September in Split, an ancient town located on the Adriatic Coast of Croatia. From its very beginning, the festival has been promoting all innovative, personal, experimental, radical, subversive work (film, video and new media) of all genres, styles and lengths, preferably from outside the mainstream, whether involving traditional film techniques or the latest technology of electronic digital image. The screenings take place in several cinemas in the old part (”downtown”) of Split: Cinema Karaman, Cinemateque Zlatna Vrata and Cinema Central. The main festival location is ”Dom mladezi”.

Streaming Museum presented exhibitions annually (2010-13) in programs of ESPACIO ENTER, a project created and directed by ARTECHMEDIA, a non-profit international cultural organization founded and directed by the artists Montse Arbelo and Joseba Franco. Programs take place at the Tenerife Espacio de Las Artes, designed by architects Jacques Herzog & Pierre de Meuron. ARTECHMEDIA is a non-profit international cultural organization founded and directed by the artists Montse Arbelo and Joseba Franco. Its aims are the creation, organization, promotion and direction of different events for the development of the Arts and the Digital Culture, to prompt and to fortify the alliance among Art, Science, Technology, Innovation and the Society, the cross debate, the reflection and the elaboration of proposals and contents by means of the philosophy of open code, that impact positively in the creation of the Knowledge Society.
 

ARTECHMEDIA is a Meeting Platform for all sectors linked to art and new media for reflecting upon, analysing and debating across disciplines for the preparation of proposals related to cultural policy, coordination and optimisation of resources, artistic production and research and their promotion at a global level. On November 8, 2012 Streaming Museum presented Revenge of the Dead Indians: In Memoriam John Cage by Henning Lohner.
